Our Livingston Parish History
In 1966, a man by the name of G. Norman David decided he was going to bring something new to the city of Denham Springs - something he had come to know and enjoy from his original home in Zachary. The Idea, which eventually turned into a reality, was to establish a Rotary Club inside the city.
The club originally met at Horn's Restaurant on Florida Boulevard, and was populated by many Baton Rouge Rotarian's who needed to make up meetings.
Since then, the club had faced ups and downs till Ivy Graham took over the club in 2010. At the time, the club only had three members. During her tenure, membership rose to a new high and the club found new life and a new home at Big Mikes.
The club has not only seen a rise in membership, which has reached the mid-20's - quite a feat for such a small parish club. They have also taken on some large projects including a complete restoration of the WWII Veterans Home, dubbed the 'George Smith Project' which gained local and regional awareness for Rotary of Livingston Parish. We continue to do our best to top that mark and participate in our community. In Christmas of 2025 we gathered, wrapped and delivered gifts for over thirty-five veterans without families and hope to have over 100 more this year.
The Rotary Club of Livingston Parish currently has individuals from all vocations and welcomes new members every day. The Club meets at 12:00pm every Friday at James Restaurant for fellowship and usually a speaker or two. We invite the community and other Rotarians alike to visit our meetings and learn the true meaning of Service Above Self.

Cathy is now entering her second term as President of the Rotary Club of Livingston Parish and her tenth year as a Rotarian. She has served in many positions in organizations such as Louisiana Republican Women. By day she is a Real Estate Agent and in her off time she is home with her 4 Yorkshire Terriers and her sweet husband.

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Baudoin
President Elect
Elizabeth "Lizzie" Baudoin is the Co-Owner and Editor of Living In Parish Magazine, where she is passionate about telling the stories of the people, businesses, and history that make Livingston Parish unique. As a fourth-generation Rotarian, Lizzie is committed to community service, local leadership, and preserving the parish's heritage while helping shape its future.
Secretary
Hannah is an avid volunteer in her community, and holds the position as Secretary for the Club. In her daily life, she is an Expert Clothier and GIA Certified Applied Jewelry Professional. She has organized fashion shows, designed graphics and costumes for local theatre programs. Her greatest passion besides Rotary Club is being a mother to her son.

Treasurer
Chris serves as the club's Treasurer. He has worked in the financial industry since 2013 and earned his MBA from Western Governors University. Chris is passionate about serving his community, developing future leaders, and making a positive impact on the next generation.

Calvin T. Bowden
Sargent-at-Arms
Calvin T. Bowden is a lifelong resident of Livingston Parish and has worked at the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office for 29 year. He is currently Captain of the ICAC/ SVU divisions. Calvin is also the owner of CTB Polygraph Services LLC located in Denham Springs. He is passionate about serving the community.
Heather Sullivan
Rotary Foundation Chair
Reverend Heather Sullivan is the Lead Pastor of Faith Crossing United Methodist Church and a past Secretary of our Rotary Club. This year, she has assumed the position of Foundation Chair and is an avid member of her community and church. She is a graduate of Loyola University, a wife, mother, and football fan.
Michelle Hutson
Service Projects Chair & Membership Chair
Michelle Hutson is a small business owner and dedicated sales professional with a passion for serving her community. She owns Mikes Bail Bonds and Michelle's Bail Bonds as well as performing sales representative responsibilities for Living In Parish Magazine. As a new Rotarian, Michelle is committed to using her skills to bring new charitable initiatives and volunteerism to our Parish.
